Let It Out

I used to stare up at the ceiling
And think about how
I’d never get another moment
I can’t go back there
Spent too much time in my life kneeling
Looking for a sign
And only found others looking too
Now I begin to work on healing
Go slow it takes time
And although I don’t have the answers
I know I’ll get there
It seems like such a distant feeling
Fading slowly by
It hardly feels like a memory
Whenever I look
At the life that I’m living
Everything seems so removed from now
And all that I want ’s to let it out
Open up
Unafraid and truly
I feel like things are getting better
Each day I see now
We lost some years we lost some battles
I won’t go back there
Express myself down to the letter
Showing who I am
And no concern what they think of me
We are all living works in progress
Forgive forget it
Try not to suffer slings and arrows
Let go of perfect
It is a complicated process
Finding happiness
Not letting time get away from you
Whenever I looked
At the life I was living
Everything seemed so removed from now
And all that I want ’s to let it out
Open up
Unafraid and truly
